The Stephen G. Bishop Foundation
for Victims of False Mortgage Foreclosure was founded in an environment of epidemic mortgage fraud and the many
victims of mortgage fraud torts. The FBI has recently referred to the mortgage industry as "Organized Crime", and the
"New Mafia" of the 21st century. Legal remedies exist in print, yet rarely serve to protect the victims.
The Foundation recognizes that a home is the most prized possession of a
working American and represents far more than a tangible asset to be bought and sold for profit. For most homeowners,
a home is the largest tangible reward for years of hard work, the loss of which is catastrophic in many ways.
The Foundation dedicates it's resources to individuals and families of the United States who demonstrate
loss or potential loss of their homes inappropriately initiated by the mortgage servicing industry.
